Can we please all agree to stop talking about the "new normal"?
It's a mirage. All there is and will be is constant change, which may well become increasingly rapid or abrupt and severe in the future.
More importantly, the "what" of the change - a new competitor, a pandemic, or a radical shift in consumer tastes - is irrelevant.
All that matters is the "how" i.e. your ability to deal with it.
Of course, even better is to be the cause of the change in the first place.
Or to paraphrase my coach and mentor Alan Weiss, "It's time to start using change as an offensive weapon, rather than trying to defend against it."
